ABOUT US

Jardin Eden is a charitable, non-profit community center for African children with difficult family circumstances or no family at all. It is part of the Serge Betsen Academy and one of four centers in Cameroon.

The idea for the center was born from an encounter between Cecile and Jutta, wives of French officers on a cooperation mission in Cameroon for several years. The women wanted to get involved in local life and provide practical help to disadvantaged people.

Our goal is to improve the educational and health situation of the children. We want to offer them a place where they feel home and give them a comfortable learning atmosphere.

The center is located in the heart of Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroun. Everyday it is open from 3pm to 6pm so that the children can spend their time after school there. People working at Jardin Eden come from all over the world with the same motivation: Helping those kids to create their future.
